At the helm of BMC, I thrive on transforming the world around me and turning dreams into tangible success stories. My career thus far is a testament to the extraordinary results that come from a unique strategic formula that blends academia and research, systems-thinking and technology, motivational theory, and an unwavering commitment to growth. I’ve built my career at the intersection of fields that don’t usually overlap: research, technology, higher education, governance, and politics. That breadth isn’t incidental. It’s the foundation of how I think and how I coach.

My journey

I developed my first website at 15, began an Information Technology degree at 17 and earned a PhD in Information Systems at the age of 24, setting the stage for a life dedicated to continuous learning and striving for excellence. Armed with a deep understanding of strategy and information systems, I embarked on a journey that seamlessly fused scientific-research and systems, with real-world testing to increase bring about transformational change for myself, friends and community.

My journey traverses two dynamic worlds, I’ve carved out careers in IT and higher education and seamlessly bridged the gap between them. Unlocking the potential in others has become my forte and my career aspiration. I’ve coached many amazing people to land their dream jobs, dismantle barriers hindering their success, and navigate the intricate pathways to achievement with proven strategies.

Community and environmental uplift focus

From 2020 to 2024, I served a full term as an elected independent councillor in the City of Greater Geelong, stewarding a $616.2 million capital works program, chairing portfolios across environment, circular economy, and multicultural affairs, representing my constituents without a party behind me. That experience, more than anything, taught me what leadership under real pressure actually looks like.

Leadership development

Currently serving as a board chair and board director for four organisations across sectors including sporting, education and employment, I hold the AICD Company Directors qualification, bringing a wealth of strategic insight and experience to my endeavours, relishing the opportunity to work with diverse minds to evoke business transformation and enable best practice governance. Alongside maintaining an active research profile, published across information systems, HR development, tourism and digital pedagogy to Q1 level, I currently work as an associate professor, providing academic leadership and pastoral care of over 1,000 higher degree research candidates.

holistic approach - mind and body

Not to be pigeonholed, my lifelong pursuit of learning and excellence isn’t confined to one arena. I’ve competed in national-level powerlifting competitions, securing 3rd and 4th rankings, strongly advocating the place of holistic approaches to coaching as physical and mental strength go hand-in-hand. These days, you can find me training boxing, Muay Thai, BJJ, and wrestling, alongside studying counselling to provide a trauma-informed approach to complement executive coaching techniques. I prefer to let my resume speak for itself. More than a coach – I am a cheerleader for my coaching clients. I am also living proof that with the right strategies, anyone can eclipse their career and life goals consistently year-on-year.

I work with executives, senior leaders, and high-achievers who are ready for a direct, evidence-informed conversation about what’s next. Book a call
